Provide excellent service by being well versed in communicating our product information, product knowledge, programs, benefits, value, services, pricing and policies, to customers and prospects.
Travel to customers and prospects providing excellent service by being well versed in communicating our product information, product knowledge, programs, benefits, value, services, pricing and policies, to customers and prospects.
Be prepared with and have a specific plan for all existing customer and prospective customer sales calls and/or meetings which will demonstrate and integrate Northern products and services into a value and benefit based presentation.
Must have an organized and timely “follow up process” in place to maximize the potential of all sales calls made.
Maintain detailed notes and activities for all active prospects and existing customers in the company provided CRM system. Additional files need to be maintained to include specific company or industry information, current business activities and written correspondence.
Represent Northern at corporate functions, trade shows, customer sites, open houses and other events as required and directed to promote Northern products.
Travel: Must be able to travel from 30% to 40% of the time.
Must have the ability to drive and maintain a valid driver’s license is required.
5+ years of proven sales experience preferably in the automotive parts industry.
High level of business acumen, market knowledge, and sales planning.
Self-starter who can develop account strategy, drive sales process, negotiate agreements and close sales.
Excellent at building and nurturing relationships with customers, vendors and internal staff.
Excellent time management skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent presentation/public speaking skills.
