We are in search of an Aftermarket Product Manager who will be responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling assigned product lines from conception through product life cycle for optimal profit and to achieve marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives. The individual will drive profitable business growth and manage financial/growth performance at product category level; leading category/product strategy, co-developing and co- leading/ influencing customer, work with cross functional teams on commercialization, pricing, sourcing and supporting go-to market strategies.
Roles and Responsibilities
Defines market messages and ensures all marketing copy, product descriptions, etc. are correct and accurately reflect message and positions
Establishes and prioritizes product road map, product category, customer line reviews with customer on go to market strategies
Manages categories to deliver annual plan
Defines category pricing, market pricing, life of product pricing
GDIA champion and liaison
Creates and delivers new product presentations to support account managers
Performs pricing reviews and makes recommendations
Sets forecast for new NPIs and identifies the end of life of same
Collaborates with end users by identifying pain points of the final customer
Attends tradeshows as required
Proactively follows-up with account managers on a consistent basis by measuring the VOC
Establishes and drive project priorities with management alignment
Maintains the pulse of the market and competitive landscape
Subject matter expert for all new product lines
Researches and stay informed of market and technology trends
Champions and advocates product lines based upon revenue and supporting the FCS strategic product plan
Supports Sales team through ongoing education, line reviews, and training
Manages profitability for new product lines
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required, and five to seven years related experience and/or in product management, marketing, product engineering, or strategic sourcing with a strong focus on new products; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment is preferred. Prior experience working and leading cross functional teams. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate at all levels of the organization and move projects through the organization with minimal direction. Must be willing to travel 40% of the time.
