This position includes salary, reimbursed travel expenses, laptop, cell phone, 401K, paid vacation and holidays. It is preferred the candidate live in Orange County California and ideally work in our Santa Ana office.
Consideration will be given to working remotely outside the region from a home office.
Job Description and Expectations:
Develop effective corporate communication strategies
Compose press releases
Coordinate and develop media planning
Social Media (postings, contests, advertisements)
Support inquiries on forums and social media (interaction with users)
Compiling and evaluating industry data to assist in media managing
Draft content (events, trade shows, races) for mass media, company website or social media
Liaise with media and handle requests for interviews, statements etc.
Foster relationships with social media influencers, advocates and key persons
Manage internal and external communications (memos, newsletters etc.)
Optimization of existing product description text and creation of new product text
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Automotive aftermarket experience preferred
Solid computer skills (working knowledge of MS Office; photo and basic video-editing software)
Social media savvy
Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
Proven experience as communications specialist
Experience in content production
Experience in copywriting and editing
Solid understanding of project management principles
Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
Some overnight travel and attending select weekend events
BS/BA in public relations, communications or relevant field preferred
Telecommuting is allowed.
